Branding The Rainbow Network
Logo and design for Bloomington Rainbow Leadership Network, an affinity group of the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.
Branding
Design
When Bloomington's LGBTQ+ professional community began organizing under the Chamber of Commerce in 2025, they needed more than a name. They needed an identity to rally around.
As a queer-owned business, B-Town Marketing had a personal stake in getting this right. We developed BRLN's visual identity and built out a suite of assets so any member of the organization could produce consistent, on-brand materials without needing a designer in the room.
The goal was simple: give BRLN what they needed to show up credibly and keep growing on their own terms.
What We Did
The Wordmark
The B-Mark
As a group within the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, BRLN needed a logo that felt connected to the Chamber's existing identity without being absorbed by it.
The B-Mark draws from the Chamber's icon as a starting point, then modernizes the form to reflect the queer community it represents. The Wordmark pairs with it to carry the full name of the organization, with a deliberate emphasis on "Leadership" — the word that defines what BRLN is actually about.
Together, the two marks give the organization something it can use flexibly: the B-Mark for brand recognition, the full lockup when the name needs to do the work.
Beyond the logo, B-Town Marketing provided BRLN with a set of ready-to-use assets: document templates, a high-resolution version of the rainbow vector, footers, and more. The goal was to make sure the organization could produce materials on their own, quickly and consistently, without the brand breaking down every time someone new touched it.
